My Brother, the Artist
摘要
Former detainee Mansoor Adayfi provides a fellow prisoner’s perspective on Moath al-Alwi, his artwork, and their shared imprisonment. Situating Moath’s work in the context of ever-changing prison rules, the nascent prison art program, violent raids on prisoners’ cells, hunger strikes, and force feedings, the author emphasizes the vital role of art in detainees’ individual and collective lives.
