First Impression

This chapter gives you a gentle introduction to quantum computing. Key concepts in quantum computing such as qubit, basis vectors, superposition, entanglement, wavefunction collapse, measurement, no-cloning theory, and quantum parallelism will be presented. You are not expected to fully understand them. The purpose is to immerse you in the quantum computing “culture” so you can get used to them as soon as possible. Similarly, we will start introducing the Dirac bra–ket notation that will be your good friend in your quantum computing journey.
