Ever since the invention of local anesthesia, the quest for newer techniques and drugs has been a never-ending race. Modifications of the original techniques in view of increased safety and decreased morbidity have resulted in perfection of techniques. With this perfection, the regional blocks have become a part of technique-sensitive treatments like the facial cosmetic and aesthetic procedures.
