摘要

Following tooth extractions, the socket undergoes a series of changes. The loss of bone may cause the socket’s contour to become aesthetically unpleasing. In situations where the tooth socket is well preserved, altering the soft tissue contour may be imperative to enhance aesthetic appeal and alleviate prosthetic challenges. Various techniques are available for soft tissue correction, including free gingival graft (FGG) and connective tissue graft (CTG), considered the gold standard. Acellular dermal matrices can be a viable alternative to autogenous grafts in certain conditions. However, in some cases, repositioning the existing soft tissue can effectively correct soft tissue defects without additional materials.
