Augmentation Rhinoplasty
摘要
Augmentation of the nasal dorsum is often required in rhinoplasty. In primary cases it is commonly needed in some ethnicities such as Asian, African, and Mestizo noses to name a few and in congenital hypoplasia. However, it may also be required in revisional procedures when the nose has been over-resected or to address dorsal saddling caused by infection, disease, or trauma. Augmentation rhinoplasty entails adding volume to the nasal dorsum and providing additional support to the nasal structure, improving both functional and cosmetic outcomes. Over time, various techniques and grafting choices have been used to achieve more natural-looking results and higher precision while increasing dorsal height.
