Genetics and Molecular Markers in Maxillofacial Treatments
摘要
Along with the development of biomedicine, the application of biomarkers from diagnosis to treatment in various diseases has been developed. The biomedical sciences, including metabolomics, proteomics, and genomes, have advanced quickly. As opposed to traditional therapeutic methods in Targeted therapy the appropriate therapeutic drugs has been chosen based on the specific sites. Targeted therapies have the advantages of high selectivity, low toxicity, and a high therapeutic index. A number of targeted therapeutic drugs and gene therapy products have shown promise in the treatment of different maxillofacial diseases, and the development of novel targeted therapeutic agents has raised concerns. In the present chapter of the book, we have an overview of gene therapy and its clinical application; also an explanation has been given about biomarkers and molecules, and their different therapeutic roles are briefly mentioned.
