Regeneration of cranio-maxillofacial defects via cell and gene-mediated approaches is an undergoing and exciting field of study. This chapter represents recent advances using variable cell and tissue sources in the regeneration of the cranio-maxillofacial region. Moreover, with recent improvements in understanding cell signaling controlling oral and maxillofacial function, gene-mediated approaches are widely investigated. Recent progress and future perspective of this approach are described in this chapter.

摘要

Regeneration of cranio-maxillofacial defects via cell and gene-mediated approaches is an undergoing and exciting field of study. This chapter represents recent advances using variable cell and tissue sources in the regeneration of the cranio-maxillofacial region. Moreover, with recent improvements in understanding cell signaling controlling oral and maxillofacial function, gene-mediated approaches are widely investigated. Recent progress and future perspective of this approach are described in this chapter.
