Arthroscopic Approaches of TMJ Associate
摘要
Temporomandibular joint arthroscopy is a minimally invasive treatment approach that provides direct visualization of the joint space without a visible skin incision. It allows for examining specific areas of the joint in more detail and assisting in diagnosis by directly imaging pathological structures. Since it creates less surgical trauma, it is also widely used for therapeutic purposes in temporomandibular joint disorders. However, it is a complex and equipment-based technique, so the operator’s knowledge, skills, and experience are crucial. Proper application of the techniques requires a long and intense training process. This chapter aims to introduce the equipment and surgical instruments required for a basic temporomandibular joint arthroscopy. Arthroscopic approaches, from diagnosis to advanced operative techniques, will be discussed in detail.
