Temporomandibular Joint Arthrocentesis
摘要
Temporomandibular joint arthrocentesis is a conservative and minimally invasive treatment modality for temporomandibular joint disorders, particularly in cases involving disc disorders, adhesions, and joint diseases. Initially applied to cases with disc displacement without reduction, temporomandibular joint arthrocentesis has shown successful results in improving jaw dysfunction. This section provides a review of the historical background and the mechanism of arthrocentesis in light of changing concepts in the pathogenesis of temporomandibular disorders.
