The lower third of the nose is known as the nasal tip, comprising the skin, connective tissue, muscle, and lower lateral cartilages. In comparison with the upper two-thirds of the nose, the soft tissue covering of the nasal tip is generally thicker, and the skin tends to be more sebaceous. The thickness of the nasal tip skin can vary significantly and is not easily altered through surgery.
