Lymphoproliferative Disorders
摘要
Lymphoproliferative disorders (LPD) include a spectrum of heterogeneous diseases that are similar in terms of uncontrolled proliferation in lymphoid or hematopoietic elements. The evolution of immunological investigations, cytogenetics, and molecular evaluation has reduced challenges in the diagnostic quality of this entity. Due to the heterogeneous nature of the head and neck lymphomas, which makes their diagnosis challenging, it is often required to perform tissue evaluation. In this chapter basic pathologic concepts and newly introduced classifications of lymphoproliferative disorder are reviewed with specific consideration on the head and neck region.
