Conclusion: Rural Life Vloggers Become Ecofeminist Life Writers
摘要
This book explores the ways in which young women turn to rural life vlogging on social as well as traditional media as part of their evolving life-writing project and business venture. The phenomenon of virality based on vernacular naturalcultural practices is discussed to shed light on the intersecting discourses that facilitate symbioses among the autobiographical representations, digital media and naturalcultural heritage. While it does not assert an entirely positive view on the emergence of rural life vlogging, it reveals the different approaches to autobiographical writing, digital media engagement and contemporary naturalcultural narration. Women Vloggers, Cultures & Nature: Narrativising Rural Lifescape addresses the strategic use of self-representation, narration and filming from drawing on naturalcultural values. Each chapter focuses on the assorted approaches to digital life writing and natural aesthetics that these young female vloggers represent as another form of contemporary life writing.
