The Effects of Innovative Technology on Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions in Developing Countries: A Case Study of Jordan
摘要
Universities may be ranked in part due to the attention they pay to quality assurance, making it one of their top priorities. Technology innovations may play a significant influence in enhancing the quality of universities and colleges. The immediate advantages of technological innovation are many, including the facilitated communication and exploration of knowledge between pupils. The purpose of this research is to identify the most important ways in which universities in Jordan are using cutting-edge technology to maintain high standards of education. This research uses the notion of the spread of innovations to explain numerous phenomena. In order to identify the precise technical aspects that may affect quality assurance in higher education institutions, a field study was undertaken across five universities in Jordan. Sixteen semi-structured interviews were conducted with key figures in Jordanian higher education, including academics, vice chancellors, IT managers, department heads, and deans of schools, utilizing an interpretative paradigm with triangulation approaches. In addition to distributing questionnaires to Jordanian students, the researchers convened two focus groups.
