摘要
Mercantilism is a pre-classical fragment of economic history. For an understanding on the research trends and to have a taste of the domain, this thesis aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of published documents on mercantilism. The Bibliometric Analysis includes 703 documents, indexed in Scopus database respectively. For bibliometric analysis documents were included using the search strategy “Mercantilism”. Documents were selected for the analysis and review after a careful assessment of each record based on the objective and the scope of the study. Further the bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer. The results of the bibliometric analysis of the 703 studies highlights the most influential sources, organisations and countries which published documents on mercantilism and the present, past and future research trends. Moreover, the study found co-authorship trends. An additional impression of this study is that it comprehensively expressed the research trends in mercantilism, however the search was limited to only one database and time frame that may be avenues of further research.
