摘要

The article is devoted to the study of the problems and priorities of the diversification of foreign trade of Ukraine due to the increase in the role of the markets of the European Union countries for the Ukrainian exports. It was determined that the important institutional and foreign policy factor for the intensification of trade relations with the EU is Ukraine's acquisition of the status of a candidate for the EU membership in 2022. The analysis of the volume, dynamics and structure of export and import of goods and services in 2011–2021 was carried out. The role of institutional changes is defined. The ecological aspects of curbing exports from Ukraine to the EU by the main groups of commodity exports are revealed. The need to ensure the further implementation of the EU “green course” norms and provisions into Ukrainian legislation is indicated.
