The Consequences of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Indicators of International Economics

Ratings of international competitiveness of countries during the Covid-19 pandemic were analyzed. An evaluation of the result of international policies to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 was carried out, based on the analysis of the impact of measures taken within the framework of these policies on the main macroeconomic indicators of the international competitiveness of the national economy. The dependence of the rate of growth of the indicator “GDP per capita in current prices” on the amount of financing of fiscal measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and the dependence of the rate of growth of GDP per capita (in current prices) on the number of people infected with COVID-19 were determined. The lack of interdependence was revealed by comparing data on the annual growth rate of real GDP and the amount of financing of fiscal measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. A stronger relationship was found between real GDP growth and the number of people infected with COVID-19. States are forming a policy of minimizing the consequences and confronting the pandemic based on available resources. The problem of assessing the impact of the pandemic on their international competitiveness and the effectiveness of the implemented measures is urgent and requires a comprehensive study.
