Thyroglossal Duct Cyst
摘要
Thyroglossal Duct Cysts, representing persistence of the thyroglossal Tract, commonly present as a midline swelling in the neck that moves with tongue protrusion and swallowing. While they may be asymptomatic they can present with infection and other symptoms. If asymptomatic they do not need any specific intervention. In this chapter we describe the embryological origin of thyroglossal duct cysts, their presentation, investigation and surgical management.
