摘要

Bony reconstruction of the head and neck is a challenging area for the reconstructive surgeon. In the setting of maxillary and mandibular reconstruction in particular, bone reconstructive options provide improved aesthetic and functional outcomes and in turn improved quality of life. Various bony composite flap options are available for the reconstructive surgeon. In this chapter, we discuss the advantages, disadvantages, techniques and tips for the fibula; deep circumflex iliac artery, scapula and scapula tip; and composite radial forearm free flaps. Post-operative flap management is also discussed.
