Assessing the Adoption of Key Principles for a Sustainable Lean Interior Design in the Construction Industry: The Case of Bahrain

This study identifies and adopt the key principles for a sustainable lean interior design in the construction industry. The concept of lean management has been of interest to researchers and practitioners in the construction industry and is implemented in most countries. This paper is part of the study to critically investigate the factors effecting the process of selecting lean tools and techniques in the construction industry in the public sector in the four governates of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The quantitative research methodology has been adopted in this study. The investigation will determine the level of lean construction management implementation and consequently its effect on sustainability in the interior design of housing projects. It is hoped that this study will benefit both academics and practitioners.
