摘要

Finding the most efficient way to join one material to another by welding is a matter of intense research. Both techniques, whether solid-state welding or fusion welding, seem to have their strengths and weaknesses. In solid-state welding, researchers’ attention is paid to the fact that friction welding (FW), a technique that involves friction between the two materials to be welded, introduces a time-efficient process, excellent mechanical properties, and filler-free solid-state welding. In this study, we produce several samples of the as-welded material from the developed friction welding machine with promising mechanical properties. From the three parameters, friction time, forging time, and fording pressure, the results show that forging time has a more significant impact than the other parameters. We expect to improve the as-welded material by enhancing the construction of the FW machine and the procedure of FW.
