An Overview of Interest Rate Derivatives in Banking Sector—A Comparasion Between Global and Indian Market

Nowadays, with the development of the financial market, the banking sectors to make them developed. Apart from their primary activities they are too engaged in investments, speculation and hedging activities to earn income and to save themselves from any risk. In this research paper, attempts are made to know the position of Interest Rate Derivatives of banking sectors in Global and Indian markets which contains the data from the year 2008–2020. In this study, one more finding is that “whether there is any difference in the level of Interest rate Derivatives of banking sectors in Global as well as in Indian market” which showed the result, “there is a huge difference in the use of Interest rate Derivatives between Global and Indian market”.
