Investment Awareness in Financial Assets—An Exploration Based on the Equity Traders in Bangalore City

Financial assets are belongings obtained through ownership of securities reflecting another company’s equity or through contracts that provide for future cash flows. In the present study, an investigation was made among the equity traders in Bangalore to understand their socio-economic background, awareness level, and investment priorities. The current study also examined the dependence of equity investors on financial intermediaries. Primary data collection among 200 respondents was conducted using a structured questionnaire. A cluster sampling technique is used to identify the samples. The results help to understand the influence of awareness level on the equity investment decisions.
