A Comparative Analysis of Rural and Urban Public Health Infrastructure and Health Outcomes During Pandemic: With Special Reference to Karnataka State

Efficiency of human capital determined by Education standard of living and most importantly Health. Health infrastructure is an essential factor to connect health input and health output. Health input has been taken through preventive methods or curative methods. To access these method country needs equipped health infrastructure. Present study analyses the existence of health infrastructure and its association with health Outcome. Study period taken into account for the present study is pandemic period. Physical public Health infrastructure like availability of Sub Centres, primary health Centres and Community health Centres in rural and urban area taken in to account. In the case of health workforce Nurses, Doctors, Lab technician and Pharmacists in position considered for this analysis. Health outcome variable such as Infant Mortality Rate, Birth Rate and Death rate used for analysis to find out the relationships. Study identified that there is a strong correlation between health infrastructure in rural and urban area of Karnataka with Health outcomes. Research also identified that there is close connection between availability of health workforce and health outcome during the study period.
