Access to justice is a vital element in the democratic process and one of the basic principles of the rule of law. It is essential to liberty, fairness and dignity and should be guaranteed to all people irrespective of their financial situation. Yet women encounter many challenges when seeking justice. They are often not aware of their rights and they do not get the legal support they desire. Against this background, this chapter explores how greater openness to digitization may support and empower women to give them access to the legal help they really need.
