Postdigital Argumentation
摘要
This entry provides an overview of different aspects and functions of postdigital argumentation, defined as a dynamic and strategic discourse activity akin to take place with or without the use of digital technologies. The passage from nondigital to digital discourse has caused an increase in the multimodality and polyphony of postdigital argumentation. The issue of whether artificial agents are able to genuinely engage in an argumentative discussion or writing is also highly relevant. Postdigital epistemological concerns related to the meaning of non-human agents’ positionality and intersubjectivity are raised.
