Mathematical Modelling of Material Removal in Laser Assisted Electro-chemical Machining Process (LAECM)

Laser Assisted Electro Chemical Machining (LAECM) Process is a hybrid machining process, developed by combining the Electro Chemical Machining (ECM) and Laser Beam Machining (LBM) Processes from the different energy groups, i.e., electro chemical energy and thermal energy. The basic concept of these two parent processes has been explained and the mechanism of material removal of LAECM process has been discussed in detail, using the energy approach.
