3D Registration

Registration or alignment of partial 3D models is the process of bringing them all into the same reference frame by means of a suitable transformation. This problem is similar to image mosaicking. This chapter describes how to achieve the simultaneous alignment of many sets of 3D points, with and without correspondences. Such sets of 3D points are also called point clouds in this context.
