摘要

This study examined the impact of occupational stress (OS) on the innovative work behaviour (IWB) and innovative entrepreneurial capabilities (IEC) of migrant entrepreneurs operating SMEs in Pakistan and Canada. Using networking, connections, quota, and purposive sampling data is gathered from a total of 130 (65 each in Pakistan and Canada) migrant entrepreneurs. PLS (SEM) is used for quantitative analysis. Results revealed that occupational stress statistically significantly affect IWB (= 0.001 < 0.05; p < 0.05) and IEC (= 0.000 < 0.05; p < 0.05) of migrant entrepreneurs. Interestingly, through the funnel approach, it is evident migrant entrepreneurs in Pakistan are better in coping with the occupational stress and therefore demonstrate higher IWB and IEC in comparison to migrant entrepreneurs in Canada. Furthermore, organisational factors affect higher the Canadian entrepreneurs while personal factors affect Pakistani entrepreneurs. The consequences of stress for migrant entrepreneurs in Pakistan result in behaviour and physical deterioration while emotional symptoms are evident in the migrant entrepreneurs in Canada. The managerial implications are given at the end.
