Cloud Platform

The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) global infrastructure is presented in this chapter. Google’s global infrastructure presently includes 35 regions that support over 100 services with more of each being planned. Customers can deploy their virtual infrastructure in GCP zones, data centers, and edge locations. Major GCP service categories of management tools, identity and security, networking, compute, storage, and databases services related to each category are covered. As was previously accomplished for AWS and Azure, in the lab you will create a fully operational three-tier web architecture that resides and is fully operational on the GCP infrastructure.
