摘要

The concept of Social Innovation (SI) initially relates to national systems and sites of Innovation. It is defined as the improvement in a social system supported by the changes in social relations, political arrangements and governance processes, identified in components of satisfaction of needs, empowerment and social relations reconfiguration (Moulaert et al., 2013). The notion of SI is inherently territorialized and refers to processes such as governance structures, stronger social fabric and new services delivery, operating at multiple spatial scales (Van Dyck & Van den Broeck, 2015). It also refers to modified social structures and revisited ethical norms to meet the socio-ecological needs and social issues related to inequality, power relationships and environmental degradation (Avelino et al., 2015; Vercher et al., 2020).
