Allergic Fungal Sinusitis
摘要
Allergic fungal sinusitis (AFS) is a distinct phenotype of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis. Hypersensitivity to fungus is believed to be the basis for inflammation and subsequent polyp formation. Aspergillus and the dematiaceous fungi are implicated in AFS. AFS is overdiagnosed and often confused with eosinophilic mucin chronic rhinosinusitis.
