Robotic Intersphincteric Resection and Abdominoperineal Resection for Low Cancer
摘要
Over the last decade there has been a dramatic rise in the use of minimally invasive surgery for rectal cancer, with excellent results in terms of both functional and oncological outcomes. The need to perform more technically demanding surgeries featuring precise pelvic dissection is probably the situation in which the application of the robot may offer the most distinct advantages over conventional laparoscopy. This chapter illustrates our technique of fully robotic intersphincteric resection and abdominoperineal resection.
