Teaching Geriatrics to Interprofessional Teams

Older adults have complex health needs that require interprofessional collaboration. Interprofessional education (IPE), in which various health professionals learn with, from, and about another is essential in order to improve collaboration and the quality of care. In this chapter we define interprofessional education, the landscape and history of geriatric interprofessional education, and examples of teaching geriatrics to interprofessional learners.
