Healthy Aging, Aging Physiology, and Anti-Ageism to Undergraduate Medical Learner
摘要
Medical education and training in the USA underrepresent three critical content areas in the care of older adults: healthy aging, aging physiology, and psychology of aging. This chapter will help educators incorporate these content areas into their teaching by addressing (1) the concept of healthy aging, (2) important physiological changes with aging, and (3) opportunities to recognize and address ageism and its consequent health inequities. In each section, we will define core content and provide educational examples and frameworks for how to teach these concepts in the context of medical education.
