Racial Justice

This chapter surveys and discusses literature on racial inequality, regarding its unfairness and undesirable effects on social life. The chapter addresses racial justice (or, for that matter, racial injustice) from a practical perspective, focusing on public policy assessments and other initiatives aimed at diminishing inequalities and inequities based on racial divides. We show that there are three topics which are key for any proper understanding of racial justice: the descriptive, the normative and the prescriptive.
