Economic Growth and Inequality
摘要
In this chapter, we reflect on how entrepreneurship reduces or magnifies economic inequalities. We focus on inter-individual differences rather than macro- and micro-economic conditions, such as economic growth, institutions, or unemployment. We discuss the role of education, gender, and immigrant status as sources of inequalities in enacting entrepreneurial opportunities. We conclude by highlighting how reducing interindividual differences in access to entrepreneurial opportunities might increase the creation of new ventures and the generation of new jobs.
