摘要

Owing to their distinctive structural characteristics, such as high specific surface areas, customized surface functions, adjustable morphologies, improved electrical conductivity, and physicochemical stability, porous carbon nanomaterials have significantly advanced energy storage-related applications in other fields like tissue engineering and environmental remediation. Hierarchical porous carbon has excellent electrochemical properties and has attracted great awareness in the field of energy storage because of its outstanding chemical and physical stability, large surface area, high aspect ratio, superior environmental qualities, and handiness. Hollow porous carbon nanofibers have an increased specific surface area providing an abundance of active sites thus facilitating the intercalation of ions. This chapter provides brief information on hierarchical porous hollow carbon nanofibers, considering their history, current development, classification, structure, and unique properties.
