摘要

Owing to their intrinsic electric and magnetic properties, carbon-based nanostructures have witnessed a significant interest in various fields of applications. Due to their significant mechanical, thermal, physical, and chemical stability, their environmentally friendly nature, low cost, and abundancy, carbon-based nanostructures are widely employed in various uses like drug delivery systems, sensors, radar absorbing materials, imaging, etc. In this chapter, the principles of electric and magnetic properties are discussed. The origin of carbon-based nanostructures like carbon black, graphene, carbon nanotubes, and their hybrid nanocomposites are explained, and their electrical properties are investigated, individually. The chapter continues by mentioning some remarkable research on nanocomposites with carbonaceous fillers and their applications in various fields.
