摘要

In recent years, carbon nanomaterials have gained more attention and demonstrated a wide range of applications due to their excellent electrical conductivity and good chemical and mechanical stability. Hollow carbon nanomaterials (HCNs), which have extremely high specific surface areas, high surface-to-volume ratios, and controllable pore size distribution, will be used to benefit energy storage systems by supplying a lot of active sites, filling mass loading vacancies, accelerating electron/ion transfer, and increasing their specific density. Additionally, the distinctive qualities of HCNs are benefited by electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding requirements that trap incoming electromagnetic waves. In this chapter, a comprehensive study of synthesis process of HCN and non-hollow carbon nanospheres with potential applications in supercapacitors and EMI shielding have been discussed.
