摘要

Congenital dislocation of the radial head is a rare pathology that may present as an isolated condition or with associated regional anomalies or syndromic conditions. The diagnosis is usually made later in infancy. Clinically, many patients have no functional limitation and no pain, and, if they develop some mild limitation of motion, it may not restrict them. Surgery needs to be considered if the patient develops pain associated with progressive motion restriction or limitations of elbow-related activities. The ideal treatment for congenital radial head dislocation is nonsurgical. Nevertheless, the reconstructive surgery of the elbow could be the best option for symptomatic adolescents.
