摘要

As the number of total knee arthroplasties rises, complications such as periprosthetic fractures of the knee will continue to increase as well. A thorough evaluation, adequate imaging, and meticulous planning are key to obtaining good results. Femoral fractures are the most common type, followed by patellar and tibial fractures. In this chapter, we will discuss femoral, tibial, and patellar periprosthetic fractures and how to approach them and guide treatment. The UCS classification provides a simple framework to describe these complex injuries and plan an appropriate treatment.
