The decision for a surgical intervention and its strategy are based on the patient’s general medical condition, oncological status, neurological involvement, and stability of the spine. Newer oncological treatment tools such as hormonal therapy, chemotherapy, and stereotactic radiosurgery play a crucial role in the management of spinal metastases.
