摘要

Multiple ligament injuries are severe and complex injuries that commonly occur in the setting of trauma. A combination of history, physical exam, and diagnostic imaging should be used to fully assess the extent of the injury and identify any damage to the associated meniscal, articular, and neurovascular structures. Varus, valgus, and PCL stress radiographs and diagnostic MRI should be the imaging modalities of choice. Operating during the acute phase of injury with a single-stage multiple-ligament reconstruction is recommended. Beginning rehabilitation on postoperative day one focusing on the range of motion has demonstrated improved patient outcomes and reduced rates of arthrofibrosis.
