摘要

Distal humerus fractures are traumatic injuries with a trimodal distribution. They constitute 2% of all fractures. Incidence in the elderly population is growing due to the increase in life expectancy. The treatment often involves open reduction and internal fixation using a bicolumnar fixation of the distal humerus. There are several approaches and techniques to accomplish this objective. The goal of this chapter is to discuss not only the anatomy, but also classifications, diagnosis tools, treatment options, and surgical procedures available to manage these fractures involving the elbow.
