摘要

A tendon transfer is a surgical technique where a functional but expandable tendon is used to recover a specific missed motor function. There are different pathologies, such as peripheral nerve injuries, brachial plexus injury, cerebral palsies, and trauma, which could lead to the necessity to perform this surgical technique. Although base pathologies are varied, there are several general principles that should be followed to reach good outcomes. Radial, median, or ulnar nerve palsies are the most frequent indications for tendon transfers in the upper limb. Tendon transfers related to these palsies are developed in this chapter.
