摘要

Nerve compression syndromes are some of most commonly encountered conditions in orthopaedics. History and physical examination (including provocative maneuvers) are essential in diagnosis. Electrodiagnostic testing, injections, and imaging supplement these findings. Treatment depends on the specific nerve involved, etiology, location, and severity of disease. Nonoperative modalities are first line in most cases. Surgical decompression has high rates of success.
