Pharmacological Management of CKD

Good pharmacological management of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is crucial in the prevention of rapid progression to end-stage kidney disease. Patients with CKD have increased risk of adverse incidents related to medications. Hence, careful understanding of how many medications can have higher risk of side effects, require enhanced monitoring or even dose alteration is key knowledge for anyone working with patients with CKD.
