In-Office Replacement of Voice Prosthesis

The voice prosthesis has a life span of 4–6 months. The indwelling prosthesis requires specialized physicians for its replacement. The methods of replacement vary depending on the type of prosthesis, almost always the anterograde replacement is performed. However, also a retrograde replacement (from inside to outside) can be performed in selected cases.
