摘要

Ophthalmology has advanced significantly in recent decades due to technological innovations and improved diagnostic methods. Indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) is a powerful diagnostic tool for visualizing the retinal and choroidal vasculature, offering distinct advantages over fluorescein angiography. Its near-infrared fluorescence allows deeper tissue penetration, making it ideal for diagnosing choroidal pathologies, such as central serous chorioretinopathy, polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, and various types of choroidal neovascularization. This chapter explores the applications of ICGA in diagnosing and managing retinal and choroidal conditions, highlighting its superior imaging capabilities, safety considerations, and integration with other imaging modalities for comprehensive disease assessment.
