Vector Calculus

Electromagnetics mostly deals with continuous distributions of vector quantities, as well as discrete vectors scattered over a region of space. Such a continuous distribution of vector quantities is called a vector field, and can be described well by a vector function. In most cases, the constituent of a vector field is related to a physical quantity directly observed at a point in space, or one observed in the immediate surroundings at the point.
